heating and cooling installation

What should I expect when Thomas & Galbraith installs my new system?

When will Thomas & Galbraith arrive?
The average arrival time is between 8:30am and 9:00am. Sometimes traffic can slow us down.
Can I leave to run errands or go to work?
Yes. Simply let the representative from Thomas & Galbraith know you are leaving and how we can reach you if necessary. If you need to leave before we arrive, provide us instructions about how we may enter your home. We need to know the room where a dog or cat may be kept and whether they will be caged, as well as any other information.
Should I cover my carpets?
No. After we install your furnace, we will clean the areas where we worked. While we will try to get everything, there might be some residual dust from the installation for a couple of days.
Will you be loud?
Not often. Our crews use power tools, hammers and saws at different times during your installation. Most of the sounds come from our crew communicating with each other.
Can I run my furnace, air conditioner or heat pump during the installation?
No. We will disconnect the old system within the first hour of our arrival. In some rare cases, with extensions, the air conditioning and heating system may be off overnight.
To whom do I give the final payment?
Our Installation Technician will prepare the final invoice and will collect the balance due. If you have financed the project, you and your Comfort Advisor may have already completed the necessary paperwork prior to the start of the job, but nevertheless, our Installation Technician may need to have some financing and invoice paperwork signed.
Will someone inspect the installation?
Yes. Thomas & Galbraith will arrange for a Quality Inspection within 30 days of the completion of the work. Any remaining questions you have about your new comfort system can be answered by your Air Care Advisor, or by the Installation Technician when he performs your Quality Inspection.
Do I need to get permits from the city?
No. We will pull the permits for you. You may need to coordinate a schedule and appointment time for the city inspector. You will also need to make your home available for the inspector. We will try to make this as convenient as possible.
"Your technician was great, and your employees on the phone were wonderful."
